July 20, 2008 - USRNSF Blog Disclaimer.
Hi, I'm Ted Burris. Welcome to the USRNSF Blog.
Chances are if you read along far enough I or one of the other writers in this blog will offend you. You know what? Darn it! Atleast we got you thinking and hopefully researching the topics presented. An educated and informed people is the first step to a free society.
I write the articles I place here because the subject matter is of interest to me. It gives me a reason to explorer topics I feel strongly about and determine if my passion is justfied and then allows me to share what I have learned. Sometimes I rant and rave and release my frustrations about whatever pissed me off last. Sometimes I whoop and hollar about something exciting. Some times I ask questions hoping to make you and sometimes me think deeply about something that I think might be important. Sometimes I just blabber about nothing. And you are free to do the same thing. If you have a topic you feel strongly about write a short (1500 words or less) article on it and email it to me at tedb@usrnsf.com. mention you are sending it as a USRNSF blog article and we will review and possibly post it here. You may sign it or you may leave it unsigned its up to you. Here's the important part. You are responsible for your own actions. If I or someone else here suggests a particular action. That does not require you to do it. Nor is anything in this blog neccesarily fact. Just because it written about on the internet does not make it fact. Research it yourself and form your own opinions. This blog is just here to start you thinking. However you feel about what you read here feel free to express it s in the USRNSF Blog Forum. I hope you enjoy the blog.

Is it a WAR ON DRUGS, or on GUN OWNERS RIGHTS?

**Most of the research for information in this came from NRA-ILA article located at http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Read.aspx?ID=4671

Is it a WAR ON DRUGS, or on GUN OWNERS RIGHTS?

As the issue of Mexican violence continues to boil over, it has become clear that for many anti-gun politicians, the war on drugs and the war on gun owners’ rights are the same thing.

This past week, there were two more hearings in Congress on the topic of Mexican drug cartels. In the Senate Homeland Security Committee’s hearing, Chairman Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) repeatedly claimed that we need to regulate gun shows, using the same inaccurate rhetoric the anti-gunners have used for a decade. While on the same day, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Mexico City, blaming American gun laws and calling for a renewal of her husband’s 1994 gun ban.

Isn't it interesting how Secretary of State Clinton, Atorney Gerneral Holder and the anti-gunners in Congress would prefer to blame your freedoms for fueling violence in Mexico instead of their failure to support proper border security.

The unimpeded flow of illegals both directions across our southern border carrying illegal guns and drugs couldn't possibly be the fuel to the fire could it?

HEY CONGRESS, HEY SECRETARY OF STATE CLINTON, HEY ATTORNEY GENERAL HOLDER, How about we secure our borders and stop the flow of Mexican drugs into and the flow of U.S. money out of the United States. How about we stop the flow of illegal immigrants that increase the burden on American taxpayers through higher crime, higher taxes and fewer available jobs. How about we curtail the freedom of criminals instead of curtailing the freedoms of the law abiding. Hey its a whole new approach to an old problem. Think about it. It might just work!

Know Your Redneck History!!

Many times in the recent past attempts have been made to make the term Redneck into a term with racist connotations.  It is not.  Jeff Foxworthy (a nice guy but not necessarily the expert on the issue) gave his definition of a Redneck as “one having a glorious lack of sophistication” .  Well that might be the present day definition and while it’s not bad it’s doesn’t necessarily originate from a historical perspective.

The earliest use of the term Redneck appears to have its origins in Scotland in the early to mid 1600’s.  A group of folks known as the  “Covenanters “ signed a document stating that Scotland desired the Presbyterian form of church government and would not except the church of England as its official state church.  Many Covenanters signed the document in their own blood and wore red pieces of cloth around their neck as distinctive insignia indicating their stance on the issue. And so they were referred to as Rednecks.  Note that even in the beginning rednecks were anti-establishment rebels.
While today the term “Redneck” is often associated with the soldiers and militia of the confederacy during the civil war.  In fact the term does not appear to have been used as a reference for them at that time. The term “Redneck” during that era appears to have been applied to poor whites some research has even said the term was used to describe white slaves, who were called “Rednecks” or sometimes “Leathernecks” because the back of their neck was always red or dark brown and wrinkly  from constant exposure to the sun while working in the fields.   The term Redneck was reborn yet again in the era of the 1921 coal miner’s revolt. Again it was associated with rebellion against the establishment.  Miners attempting to bring the United Mine Workers Union to the coal mines of West Virginia wore red bandanas around their neck to signify that they supported the union and were hence referred to as Reds or Rednecks.  In July of 1921 in Marmet  W. Va.  More than 10,000 of these “Rednecks” took up arms against mining company hired gun thugs and local and state police in Logan and Mingo Counties.   It was the largest armed uprising in the United States since the civil war.

Many things have come together to create the modern day mindset that the term “Redneck” refers to a person who maybe racist; The rebellious nature of the original “Rednecks” from Scotland,  the West Virginia rebellion or “Battle of Blair Mountain”,  Confederate soldiers being known as rebels , and finally the adoption by many “Rednecks” of much of the symbolism of the old south. While racism was the default in the United States prior to the 60’s civil rights movement. There is nothing to suggest that “Rednecks” were or are racist.

Rednecks Today:

What “Redneck” means today is almost as varied as the people who call themselves Rednecks.
But in general the current day definition as interpreted by myself seems to be as follows:

Patriotic American with a rebellious nature who does not believe in the  “me first, me only” mentality  that appears to be growing rampantly in our society.   Usually found in close proximity to pickups, jeeps,  dirt bikes etc. unless its huntin season.  Rednecks are most comfortable in jeans or camouflage.  Football baseball and NASCAR are their favorite hobbies when not huntin, fishin or Muddin.  Key Redneck  concepts are trust, honesty, respect and a healthy mistrust of government, politicians, lawyers and used car salesmen.  Rednecks hate to be told what to do but will often give you the shirt off their back if you ask politely.  Rednecks stick together.   It’s unusual to find a lazy redneck, but you will often find Rednecks whose focus is not what you might expect.  For instance they might leave the Christmas lights up year round so they don’t have to untangle the cords next Christmas or they might choose not to wash the car regularly because the mud has a camouflaging effect.   Rednecks don’t use drugs (unless the doctor says to. Some rednecks have been known to drink a little, … Okay, some “a little” more than others.  99% of all Rednecks own at least one firearm and the last one borrows one when he / she needs it.

In conclusion and with regard to the USRNSF specifically, not only are we as a group, not racist but racist actions or comments are strongly and harshly condemned. USRNSF Members of all creeds, colors and religions are due equal respect and appreciation for their service to the group, to society and to each other.  I consider each and every member of the group my friend as should every other member of the group and as such friends always treat each other with respect.

It's not racial, It's more important than that!

It's only 3 days since President Barrack Obama has been sworn in and I am already tired. I'm tired of every negative comment about the administrations policies being turned in to a racial comment. So what if he's black, I don't care. Mine and most of the other arguments I have heard have nothing to do with the color of his skin. If your issue with the Obama administration is skin color, your an idiot and you need to get some psychiatric help. My problem with the Obama administration is I am a cynic. I believe 99% if not all present day politicians are on the take. I believe that History will reflect on the Obama administration as the biggest letdown American politics has ever had and I believe this because he and the media have done a good job at lifting everybody up. I think he is a typical democrat and he has proven it by his staff appointments. I think he will steal our freedoms, spend our money and and do it all with complete disrespect for the Constitution and all that it stands for and with imunity from prosecution. My issues surround his policies. The answer to our countries issues is not more spending. It's not an 850 BILLION dollar stimulas package, The answer to crime is not the curtailment of freedom through assault weapons bans, handgun bans, ammo taxes and the curtailment of the freedom that makes this country the greatest country on earth. And the answer to the economic crisis is not giving more money to people who have proven they can't manage money.

For a President who promised change, banked on the peoples want for it and supposedly was dedicate to it the answers should be clear as a bell.

1. REDUCE TAXES, A flat tax such designed that it reduces taxes on the middle class might work.
2. BALANCE THE FEDERAL BUDGET, A balanced budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution should be priority 1.
3. REQUIRE BALANCED BUDGETS AT STATE AND MUNICIPAL LEVELS TOO. Make number 2 apply to all government.
4. REDUCE TAXES - Reduction of overall taxes by an average of 5% every other year for 10 years, a total of 25% accross the board.
5. REDUCE SPENDING - Immediate deportation of any allien found in this country illegally for a period of 2 years.
6. REDUCE CRIME - Deportation and refusal of any future immigration application of illegals found here after 2 years.
7. INCREASE JOBS and REDUCE DEBT - Immediate tariffs of all foriegn goods with the moneys going to repay our debt to China
8. REDUCE CRIME and PROTECT AMERICA - Secure our borders by shooting on site those attempting to enter illegally.
9. CORRECT CORRUPTION - No more anchor babies. If they're under 18 revolk thier citizenship and deport them and thier parents.
10. REDUCE CRIME - The death penalty is hereby reinstated nationwide and is the required punishment for murder without cause.
11. REINSTATE CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS - The Military Combatant Act is Revolked.
12. REINSTATE NATIONAL SOVERIENTY and REDUCE SPENDING - Immediate United States withdrawl ... FROM THE U.N.
13. INCREASE JOBS, INCREASE NATIONAL INCOME, CREATE NEW JOBS - NAFTA is revolked
14. REDUCE WASTE THEREBY REDUCING SPENDING - No more $500 toilet seats or $150 bolts.
15. SHOW SOME HONEST INTEGRITY - Use some of the savings from #14 to fix social security, we paid for it, it should be there.

I think that will do for starters, I am sure once the ball is rolling the right direction other stuff will come to light that needs doing.

Happy Innauguration Day!

Boy oh boy, I bet that got your attention....LOL

For those of you all shook up about this election and Barack Hussein Obama's inauguration. Don't be. It takes people interested in the system to fix the system and the 2008 election brought more voters, more people interested in the system into the voter ranks than anytime in the recent past. They stood together and said IT'S NOT WORKING, WE WANT CHANGE! Yes most of the newcomers are a little left of center as displayed by the election results but they are interested and they are involved and they are looking for change. What will happen when what they get is the same old crap governments been dishing out for nearly 50 years? They are going to grow and learn. They are going to see first hand that you can't borrow and spend your way out of debt, Obama and time will show them! They are going to see that free government hand outs aren't free, Obama and time will show them. They are going to see what socialistic ideas really cost and when they do then they will again look for change. TRUE CHANGE, will only happen in this country when we all work for it together. True change doesn't come from government hand-outs and bigger national debt. True change comes from the hard road. True change will start when we force our elected officials to pass a balanced budget amendment and reduce taxes on the middle class. True change will come when we support programs that help people do for themselves instead of handout programs that create government dependence. You have to get burned before you understand the meaning of hot. And so we have some tough times ahead but we will be stronger when its over.

Ted's 2009 Economic Forecast.

Many economists ( read highly schooled individuals likely much smarter than I ) say 2009 is looking up. The theme song being sung is "everything’s better with O-bama on it" Well here’s Ted's 2009 Economic forecast.
Next 30 days or so - People will be looking on the bright side.  The stock market will rise with the boon of federal funds being handed out. Consumer prices will remain fairly static in most markets or maybe even drop a little.  Then,  as the year drags on and government attempts to prop up the economy with more government spending and more government giveaways fails.  Folks higher up in the food chain will realize what the rest of us already now.  You can’t borrow your way out of debt.  As the realization sets in layoffs will increase throughout retail and manufacturing sectors and some of the hardest hit will be the Midwest because new jobs created by the President’s infrastructure spending bills went primarily to the coasts.  I expect to see unemployment rates hit  8 or 9 percent by the end of 2009 and continue to rise in the first half of 2010. Stocks will begin sinking again and consumers will continue to buy necessities only.  The one area of the economy that will continue to see growth for a while will be gun and ammunition sales.  Demand will continue to be greater than supply and prices will continue to rise until the new President signs the new assault weapons ban squashing one of the few growing sections of the economy.  Is this another great depression?  NO. But for many it will feel like it before it’s over. When will it end? I'd say we will see the light at the end of the tunnel in the 2nd qtr. of 2010. If we're lucky it wont be an oncoming train.

Supporting communism with the 2009 U.S. stimulas package?

We the people, also known as the United States of America owe over five hundred Billion dollars to China, a communist country, which we borrowed because we could not pay for all the spending our elected officials are doing. Now those same elected officials are spending over seven hundred Billion dollars to "bailout" a bunch of corrupt and poorly managed privately owned companies without getting any approval from the taxpayers. Our new President and his staff are planning a government giveaway. A "stimulas" package that will cost over 1 Trillion dollars. The purpose of this package is to "stimulate the economy". Hey Uncle Sam here's a hint. The economy your stimulating will be China's each time we pay the interest on 2.2 Trillion dollars.

Here are some enlightening facts -
2.20 Triillion dollars is written - $2,200,000,000,000.00 (thats a lot of zero's)
5% Interest on a 2.2 Trillion dollar loan would be about 300 Million dollars a day!
The National debt stands at 10.6 Trillion dollars (Dec. 25, 2008)
The national debt is increasing by 3.53 Billion dollars a day.
There are about 305.4 Million people in the U.S.
If everybody in the U.S. paid taxes your share of the National debt would be about $35,000.00
Your share is increasing by about $10 a day or $3650 a year.
The government is currently spending $438 billion dollars a year more than it takes in.
Storing 1 Billion dollars in $100 bills would require 266 moving boxes (16"x12.5"x12.5" Ea.)
Boxing up the entire national debt in $100 bills would require 2.8 Million boxes.

HELLO?? IS ANYBODY IN THE GOVERNMENT PAYING ATTENTION??

MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR and STUFF

The History of Rednecks

Well, this has been an interesting week. The major supplier I had penciled in for catalog work this week is getting a little behind with the Christmas rush and has pushed our meeting to the first of the year so it will be a couple more weeks before I start adding the bulk of product to the site.

In the interim I decided to research the term Redneck - This came about because a friend related a story about the term being equated with racism and I said "I dont think so ! ! " but I really had no history to back it up. Just a quote from Jeff Foxworthy...LOL. So I decided to research it. While I had heard the term used in a sense equated with people who might be considered prejudice or racist I am not and I assumed that in those cases where it was used that way it was just a coincidence or stupidity. Rednecks atleast to my mind were REBELS and mostly southerners but that didn't mean they were racist. Atleast not in todays world. To me Redneck means - Dislikes goverment corruption and expansion, has a general mistrust of authority, has conservative values and is focused on doing whats right. The whats right distinction is usually based more on Gods law than on mans, and they could give a care less what is politically correct this week (or ever for that flippin matter.) A Redneck is focused on whats best for his/her country, his/her community, his/her family and then him/her self. Those are Redneck values and they dont include racism, hatred, or other stupidity. But, what if I was wrong, what if the term Redneck was racist. Well if so we would have to change that. To many things had already been banned because some yahoo had associated them with racism. I was not about to see it happen to the term Redneck. First things first, it was time to learn some history.

WELL.... I am happy to report that the term Redneck is not, nor in a historical context has it ever been officially associated with racism. I will bring you a full and informative report in a week or two but suffice it to say it has been a tremendously enriching experience to research the term and I hope you will be please with the report. In the meantime, Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. ---------- Ted Burris

PAYPAL, OBAMA, THE ECONOMY

First - Paypal

Many of you know from reading the July 23 blog entry that I an many other online sellers are frustrated with Paypal and Ebay. Well as of Nov. 22, 2008 The USRNSF is officially a NO PAYPAL ZONE. Paypal has been discontinued and we have our own SSL certificate, merchant account and secure credit card gateway. Your shopping and transactions are secured via SSL. Your transactions are handled by the most respected credit card gateway on the internet (AUTHORIZE.NET). In addition while it is somewhat more inconvenient for you the customer I have chosen not to store any of your credit card info on my site. This means you will have to enter that data every time but it also means there is no database of credit card numbers on the site to present a target to hackers and a security risk to you my customer.

Second - Obama

The Obama-Biden team have made thier anti-gun, anti-self defense politcal agenda clear. Assault Weapons Banned, Gun owner privacy gone, increased prices and reduced reliability of firearms. More bogus lawsuits to push gun dealers and gun manufacturers out of business. They have published the basics of it on thier website under urban policy.

I could go into the long details and if you like just email me and I will. But most of you already know and don't need the details. These guys aren't stupid. They know that the "assault weapons" they're targeting with the ban aren't machine guns and aren't used by the military. They know that the Tiahrt Amendment they want to repeal protects the innocent not criminals thats why its there and thats why the BATFE, the Congressional Research Service, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Citizens Commitee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Gun Owners of America and the NRA all support the Tiahrt Amendment. They know that child proof guns or "smart gun technology" makes firearms more expensive to produce and less reliable for use in self defense. Thats why law enforcement guns will be excluded from the requirement.

The Agenda is clear. It was clear with the Clintons and it is clear with Obama-Biden it is the destruction of America.
through increased crime and reduced freedom. It will be and is being accomplished through the destruction of the principles upon which this country was founded.

The truth is simple reduced freedom means reduced opportunity, reduced opportunities and reduced freedom mean increased crime. Increased crime results in reduced freedom and the cycle continues and the only ones who benefit are the masters that continue to enslave the common man.

Third - The Economy..

Where did this great economic crash come from?

It came from greed and laziness and very few get to escape some blame. The economic collapse is the result of people taking money without giving value equal to or greater than the amount of money they take. The worst offenders, big corporate executives and politicians but almost everybody has a degree of guilt. How many of you went to work and screwed off for an hour or two, took an hour lunch when you were only entitled to 30 min. or carried home something that wasn't yours to take. How many of you used the copy machine for your kids school fundraiser, baseball team, church group or lost dog fliers. How many of you got an appraisal and loan on your house for more than what it was worth then lost it to foreclosure. Theres more than enough blame to go around. From the CEO with the multi million dollar salary and million dollar bonus that missed a business appointment and caused his company to lose hundreds of thousands in potential business cause he was busy playing golf to the insurance company that goes out of its way to pay what it knows is a valid claim. From the politician that takes a payoff to look the otherway while some company gets an okay on an over priced government contract. To the doctor charging medicare for services he never performed because medicare doesn't pay for half the services he provides. Dishonesty, Greed, Laziness these are the causes of the economic collapse.

Where is it going?

But now comes the great travisty. Our system is designed to cleanse itself. and the design works. If you cheat, steal and lie and ignore honest hardwork long enough you get to pay the piper. Your business goes belly up. All the money is gone and you have no value to show for it and somebody who believes in honesty and hardwork takes your place in the market. But heres the rub. That time has come and instead of letting our system cleanse itself a bunch of politicians (some of the worst offenders) have put together a bailout plan to save these businesses from collapse. They are going to use taxpayer dollars to keep these businesses afloat. How will this help. IT WON'T its a short term fix with no long term gain. The same corrupt lazy greedy actions that destroyed the ability of these companies to be solvent in the first place will simply blow through the taxpayer dollars like a knife through hot butter and in a few years we will be right back where we are now. We bought some time is all. Get yourself ready. The fall is coming and it will be even worse than what we would have had to endure if we had just let it happen now. The difference is it will likely be your kids paying the biggest price instead of you!

And thats current events according to Ted. Sorry if it depressed you.

Constitution - What Constitution?

Martial Law, coming to a neighborhood near you!

While no explaination to the articles below is required for the thinking person. I will offer this much of one. On what grounds and with what authority can a police office tell me that I can not stand in my own front yard any time day or night that I should so choose. On what grounds and with what authority can a police officer determine that I do not have a right to walk to the grocery store or ride my bike around the block should I so decide. On what grounds and by what authority should a police office arrest me for "not having a good enough excuse for being anywhere". I can think of a few possibilities involving natural disaster or eminant public danger but none of those should be able to be randomly applied based on a so called crime epidemic. Further, How long will it be before good honest citizens recognize that allowing the government to stomp all over your rights does not stop criminals from accomplishing thier objective. They might stay away while the "curfew" or "Mayor approved martial law" is in effect but the crime will return as soon as the cops leave. Do you as a citizen want to live under martial law and curfews forever. This is the precedent you are creating by allowing this action in you neighborhoods and cities.

They that would give up essential liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither. - Ben Franklin

Heller vs. Washington DC.

“You want the truth, You can’t handle the truth!”

That’s a quote from Col. Nathan R. Jessep as played by Jack Nicholson in the movie A Few Good Men. It’s appropriate today because of the three topics that I intend to speak with you about most of America doesn’t know, nor do they want to hear, about the third. They would rather just ignore it. The First of the three topics is the intent of the founding fathers in regard to the Second Amendment. The Second topic is about the Supreme Court finally, over 200 Years after the second amendments ratification, ruling that the second amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms and The third topic is how the Supreme Courts ruling hasn’t changed a thing because government is no longer interested in what the Constitution or the Supreme Court has to say. The fact is that no one with a brain, a thimbles worth of knowledge about the history of our nation and the ability to comprehend the English language can misunderstand the meaning or intent of the 2nd Amendment.  The second amendment is clearly written and it is even more clearly explained when one researches the available documentation. Let’s take a look at the 2nd Amendment.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The argument from those people against the individual right to keep and bear arms is that the first part of the second amendment

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,”

modifies the intent of the second amendment so that it applies only to those connected with the militia and they say that the Militia referred to is the National Guard.

On the other side of the argument are those people for the individual right to keep and bear arms. They say that the first half of the second amendment is an independent statement defining the reason for the second amendment but not modifying it. The fact is that the first part of the second amendment explains why the second amendment exists and why it is so important. Both sides of the argument already know this fact. The wrangling is just legal mumbo jumbo so lawyers, lobbyists and politicians have something to argue about. It’s doesn’t take a English professor to determine that the founding fathers intent when authoring the second amendment was to provide the militia with access to and use of arms without government interference.  It doesn’t take a history professor to figure out based on the wording why the founding fathers thought they needed to make sure that this right was specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights. What is at issue is the question as to whether “a well regulated militia” in the eyes of the founding fathers refers to each individual citizen or to only those citizens connected with military service.

For the answer we will look back to the authors of The Constitution. The Federalist Papers are a collection of writings by the very people who authored the Constitution. They were created to help interpret the Constitution and they have been used many times in U.S. courts to provide enlightenment as to the intentions of its authors. After all who could interpret the Constitution better than the authors of the Constitution?
In Federalist paper #28 Alexander Hamilton answers the question "WHAT IS THE MILITIA?"

"The militia is a voluntary force not associated or under the control of the States except when called out; [when called into actual service] a permanent or long standing force would be entirely different in make-up and call."

Hamilton further states in Federalist Paper #69

"The President, and government, will only control the militia when a part of them is in the actual service of the federal government, else, they are independent and not under the command of the president or the government. The states would control the militia, only when called out into the service of the state, and then the governor would be commander in chief where enumerated in the respective state constitution."

There are literally dozens if not hundreds more quotes in the federalist papers and in the writings of Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin to name a few that tell the same story.  James Madison, who wrote the Second Amendment, said Americans had "the advantage of being armed," whereas in other nations "the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." Thomas Jefferson said, “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” Patrick Henry said the "great object is that every man be armed. … Everyone who is able may have a gun." The founding fathers believed that rights came from man’s creator and that governments were created by men to help protect those rights from other men who might try to take them. The founding fathers listed the rights they thought were most important in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution so that we “THE PEOPLE” who make up our government would always know that these were the most sacred. These were the rights our ancestors fought and died for above all others. And then in the Nineth and Tenth amendments of the Bill of Rights they said if we did not specifically give a right to the federal or state government then that right also belongs to “THE PEOPLE”.

There are 5 references in the Bill of Rights to “THE PEOPLE”.

In The First Amendment “THE PEOPLE” are guaranteed Freedom of Religion, Freedom of The Press, Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Assembly. In The Forth “THE PEOPLE” are guaranteed the right to be secure in their houses, papers and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures. In The Ninth and The Tenth Amendments the Founding Fathers make it clear that all rights not expressly given to Government are retained by “THE PEOPLE”. If “THE PEOPLE” referred to in the First, Forth, Ninth and Tenth Amendments of The Bill of Rights are the citizens of the United States of America then it must be safe to conclude that “THE PEOPLE” referred to in the Second Amendment of that same document must be those same citizens.

The groups of people that are trying to take away our right to keep and bear arms would like you instead to believe that The Founding Fathers intended the second amendment to apply to The National Guard or to other persons bound to military service.  The National Guard is division of the U.S. Army created in 1903 whose commander is the President of United States. In other words those groups of people would say to you that your second amendment right applies to THE GOVERNMENT and not to you. The framers of the Constitution made it very clear that they did not intend government control of the Militia. That in fact the purpose of the Militia was to stand in opposition to Government control.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. – Thomas Jefferson

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. . – Thomas Jefferson

The second amendment says “THE PEOPLE” not “THE GOVERNMENT”. The authors then explained what they meant so that there would be no confusion.  “THE MILITIA” and “THE PEOPLE” were then and are now synonymous terms and refer to the individual citizens of the United States of America.

Now over 200 Years after the creation of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights the Supreme Court has found it neccesary to affirm that the second amendment refers to an individual right to keep and bear arms that has nothing to do with service in the military.  In a case the pitted a Security Guard in Washington DC against the City of Washington DC. The Supreme Court has voted 5 to 4 that the second amendment refers to and guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms. (5 to 4? excuse me? Four supposedly well educated, college degree toting lawyers after reviewing all the information I have quoted here and more voted that the founding fathers did not intend to grant an individual right to keep and bear arms to the people of the United States of Amerca. Ok! we will save further discussion on that for later.) Anyway, a majority of the Supreme Court voted that individual citizens have a right to keep and bear arms.  So what has been the result?  The City of Washington DC after being told by the Supreme Court to give Heller his license and that it can no longer require citizens to keep their firearms unassembled has again denied Mr. Heller’s his god given right to self defense by declining to register Mr. Hellers handgun. The city says the denial is because the city of Washington D.C. defines any weapon capable of firing 12 or more rounds without reloading as a machine gun. Talk about BULL SHIT! So Heller has filed another federal lawsuit against the King of Washington D.C. to try an get his GOD GIVEN right of self defense restored in accordance with the Supreme Courts order.

Ladies and Gentleman, The definition of Tyranny according to Merriam-Webster Online is oppressive power exerted by government.

The purpose of the second amendment is as a last resort against Tyranny. Can you handle more truth?

Watch for the continuation of this article in “YOU CAN”T HANDLE THE TRUTH” part 2.

WHY PAYPAL SUCKS ... WHY I CONTINUE TO USE IT - By Ted Burris

For those of you who don't know Ebay has taken over Paypal. The result is a serious problem to freedom loving people everywhere.
here is an excerpt from the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy.
( The full policy is viewable at https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/use/index_frame)

"Prohibited Activities
You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:
... 2. relate to sales of ... (h) certain firearms, firearm parts or accessories, ammunition, weapons or knives.

This is very vague. Further research leads to https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;jsessionid=LH2Tjq8LR0myQqYTzR3jYRX3hP1X3622ktffwvL7h6qmbGh4SwpT!1502751412?locale=en_US&_dyncharset=UTF-8&countrycode=US&cmd=_help&serverInstance=9006&t=solutionTab&ft=browseTab&ps=solutionPanels&solutionTopic=20019&solutionId=39059&isSrch=Yes
Which reads in part ....

What types of firearms and related items does PayPal prohibit?

Firearms – Include all rifles, shotguns, and handguns, whether they are intended for use in sporting, as collectibles, or as curio and relic firearms. These items are prohibited regardless of their present working order.

Firearm parts - Include, but are not limited to, receivers and frames, silencers, kits designed to convert a firearm to automatic firing capability, high capacity magazines, multi-burst trigger activators, and camouflaging firearm containers.

Ammunition - Includes ammunition with propellant, such as gunpowder or blank ammunition. Ammunition is defined as ammunition or cartridge cases, primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for any firearm.

What this means to you and why I continue to use paypal.

If any of the listed items are included in your order and we find during processing your order that you have used paypal to pay your order will be cancelled, your paypal payment refunded and you will be sent an email notifying you of the actions taken and reason for them. I don't like it put at present based on volume of sales it would not be cost effective for my to get a merchant account to replace paypal. The result is that I will continue to use paypal but if your odor contains any of the prohibited items above you will have to send a check or money order instead of using paypal.

When will I discontinue accepting paypal on the USRNSF website.

I will discontinue accepting paypal on the site as soon as sales generate enough gross profit to pay of the fees associated with maintaining a merchant account.

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

PRIVACY ... WHATS THAT? by Ted Burris

I had an educational thing happen to me recently. It's a long story but the short of it is that I had an email account that I used alot and a friend was able to get into it and read it. Now, I'm a pretty on the surface guy so I really don't care that he read it. I don't care that he didn't tell me. I don't even care that he took action based on his mistaken interpretation of the contents of one of the emails that he had read. I don't care because I just really don't have much that I feel I need to hide from anyone. But I do feel betrayed by his actions. I feel he crossed a lot of lines both legal and ethical that he should not have crossed. Moreover I believe he knew at the time what he was doing was wrong or if he didn't he should have so that means either his trustworthy ness or his expertise is in question in addition to our friendship. While no real good can come from pushing the issue it really makes me mad to be violated and betrayed by someone I trusted. - I always try to learn something from every circumstance so for the readers of this blog heres the bit of wisdom learned in this situation. In addition to the personal relationship lesson.

All electronic communication is monitorable, interceptable and sometimes even editable. In many cases without you even knowing it happened.
